A Global Community Development Programme (GCDP) experience is an opportunity for young people to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership by creating direct positive impact through an international volunteer experience. The internship is either hosted by an AIESEC entity under a project (e.g. our educational projects such as GROW, Cultural Mix, Winter Vitamins) or a non-AIESEC organization e.g. NGO, institution, center which are part of that local community (e.g. the local community of Targu Mures). By bringing an international student to volunteer in that entity, we indirectly develop the local community.
We gather under the concept of "Developing Communities in Romania" all national projects which involves an external TN taker such as an NGO, a public institution, a University, an orphanage, day-center, and other entities that serve the local community.
Why "Developing Communities in Romania"? because by bringing international students in other institutions or NGOs we bring leadership to certain issues in our society, and we develop that community AIESEC style.
Under this concept you can add every local initiative which involves external TN takers and which brings impact to the local community such as:
- random raising at NGOs (except Kindergartens or afterschools) (e.g. Iasi)
- working with NGOs that support children with disabilities (e.g. Brasov, Timisoara)
- working with "Muzeul Satului" (e.g. Brasov)
- working with Capitala Culturala" (e.g. Cluj)

ReBranders is started as an initiative by AIESEC Timisoara and in just one year it became a national project. The basis of this project is partnering with entities present in the cultural and educational environment of Timisoara, but who do not have a strong marketing and PR focus (NGOs, Universities, Public Institutions). We engage these entities by delivering groups of international with graphic design, marketing, PR, branding and advertising skills who can work on improving the marketing strategy, create promo campaigns and visual promo materials and overall create a better brand for the partnering entity.

- have your ReBranders OCP elected at the begining of March;
- for summer realizations start the raising in March;
- create a task-force raising team inside the NCD department, coordinated either by the Raising TL or the ReBranders OCP;

- create a task-force matching team inside the NCD department, coordinated either by the Matching TL or the ReBranders OCP;
- have patience when the entities put you on hold, just don't give up and politely press them!
- for matching establish connections with VP OGX in other countries soon and ask them to recruit especially your profile - marketing, communication, design, PR;
- ask the entities (TN takers) to offer you working space in their office, and internet;
- don't promise something you can't offer (e.g. only European EPs, German EPs, stuff like that);
- ask to work with a person in that entity that knows the field of marketing, PR - it's easier to set expectations and to communicate;
- in the matching process ask them to present a portfolio, do an assignment established by you and also give them a techincal test afeter they've been matched to see their level and to set the level of the trainings that you have to offer them.

Description:
The aim of the project is to spread cultural awareness through activities during the Christmas holidays, involving the orphans and disadvantaged children from placement centres. The international trainers will teach the youngsters English, play games, develop art related skills, in order to make them aware about tolerance and diversity. In working with the older students, the internationals will try to help them orient their careers and become self-aware of their skills and capabilities. The project extended into a summer edition, called Experience Around the World, which had the same educational purpose.
