A Global Community Development Programme (GCDP) experience is an opportunity for young people to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership by creating direct positive impact through an international volunteer experience. The internship is either hosted by an AIESEC entity under a project (e.g. our educational projects such as GROW, Cultural Mix, Winter Vitamins) or a non-AIESEC organization e.g. NGO, institution, center which are part of that local community.  By bringing an international student to volunteer in that entity, we indirectly develop the local community.

Why "Developing Communities in Romania"? because by bringing international students in other institutions or NGOs we bring leadership to certain issues in our society, and we develop that community AIESEC style.

Under this concept you can add every local initiative which involves external TN takers and which brings impact to the local community such as:

- working with NGOs that support children with disabilities

- working with environmental NGOs

- working with cultural NGOs

- working with Universities

- working with public institutions

Developing Communities in Romania

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

means empowering individuals and groups of people by providing them with the skills they need to effect change in their own communities.

Description:

Rebranders is our second biggest PBOX in AIESEC Romania. It has first been implemented in AIESEC Timisoara, where the project turned out to be very successful and impactful, therefore it was upscaled to national level.

ReBranders is a project based on partnering with entities (NGOs, associations, Universities, public institutions etc.) present in the cultural and educational environment of a city, but who do not have a strong marketing and PR focus, consequently who do not have a strong brand or image on the market.

Basically, the trainees have to "recreate" and re-shape the image or brand of the entities involved in the project, by creating materials, working closely with the stakeholders, organizing multicultural events such as Global Villages in the city centres, or water fights, or other type of events that will also showcase the impact of the international environment they are being part of, in their internship in Romania.

When talking about the added value delivered to each institution taken separately we talk about two aspects: the technical products developed and delivered/implemented (posters, logos, marketing campaigns, leaflets, booklets, presentations, PR, photography, videos and events organized) and the social aspect represented by the multicultural environment created in that institution and the variety of view-points assures by having each team formed from internationals of different countries.
