"Communities"

-the authentic Romania-

"Non-formal Romania" -full education cycle-

The national projects that AIESEC Romania runs develop the local communities approaching different issues:

  • through career orientation

  • through cultural understanding

  • through literacy

"Non-Formal Romania" full educational cycle

We felt the need to complement the education of the youth in different environments that they live in:

- HIGHSCHOOL - because we noticed that students in high-school know little about themselves at personal level and have few people who can help them figure out what to do with their lives after finishing high-school, what they like, what they want to study, who they want to become. Besides figuring out answers to some questions they also need basic soft skills in order to interacti with each other.

- MIDDLE SCHOOLS - because we noticed that character starts getting shapes at this age, we want to be there for the middle-schoolers in order to answer to their questions, observe and shape their behaviors, teach them about the things that are different between them but also the things that make them the same and give them the same rights.

- ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - as soon as a child gets exposure to information, as soon their mind starts to wander and ask questions and accelerate their curiosity which transforms in an intense learning process. Their age is perfect for an itneraction with an international environment that will help them widen their perspectives and help them achieve their potential easier.

- KINDERGARTENS - because we wanted to offer a life full of multiculturalism to our young generations and to educate them in the spirit of tolerance and give them the change to learn the first ellements of English language.

- PLACEMENT CENTERS, day centers for disadvantaged children and teenagers - we want to give the change to this category of youth to have acces to non-formal education, career orientation and culture through their interaction and work with international trainers. In many of the cases we also offer them the change to learn and practice English, since their language skills are less developed.

- SUMMER CAMPS - organized by the Ministry of Youth and other private organizations, the summer camps are spaces created with the intention of offering non-formal education to the youth of Romania. We had the idea to add the international touch to them, and offer them trainers from other countries, that will contribute to their experience in the camp.

"Communities"

We have a strong desire of showing Romania to the world, showing the real Romania, with it's communities, culture, landscapes, minorities, architecture. We want to promote the country that we love, but through the eyes and the words of itnernational travellers, photographers, writers, video-graphers.

The Romania that WE know, with good things and bad things also. But an authentic image.

For this we want to facilitate the travelling of international students in Romania, and to offer them authentic and traditional as well as urbanistical experiences, that they should talk about through their writing, photographies and videos.
